    Communities Embracing Restorative Action (CERA) Society is a nonprofit organization providing restorative justice alternatives to youth in the communities of Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody since 2000. CERA is seeking an engaging, experienced leader with vision and determination to achieve its goals.     Position:
    • permanent part-time position (25 hr/wk) reports to the Board of Directors responsible for the overall management of day-to-day operations in all programs, services and initiatives
    • works with the board to develop plans and strategies that will achieve the mission of the organization
    • ensures all programs and services operate in an effective and efficient manner in accordance with the mandate and policies as well as the legal and financial requirements
    • manages all aspects of the fund development to ensure the organization is able to meet its goals and financials commitments
    • develops and implements accountability mechanisms in accordance with established policies of the organization
    • manages all aspects of human resources including paid and volunteer staff
    • develops and maintains effective and strategic relationships with key partners as related to programs and services within organizational goals
    • ensures the development and use of a communication plan with the relevant materials to promote the organization of CERA and the philosophy of Restorative Justice in the community

    Requirements:
    • a degree, diploma or equivalent experience and education in a relevant field
    • experience in or solid understanding of restorative justice
    • ability to function independently and interdependently, frequently under pressure, managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines including managing stressful situations
    • demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and supervisory skills
    • excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
    • previous experience as an executive director of a not-for-profit organization
    • must possess a valid driver's license
