All staff and facilitators undertake an oath of confidentiality as a condition of their involvement in the program.
Staff and facilitators are thoroughly versed in protecting the confidentiality of program participants.
Confidentiality is a key requirement for all activities of the Community Youth Justice Program. However, reporting of certain incidents (such as abuse or risk of harm) is
required by law to ensure the health and safety of the parties involved.
Participation of victims and persons harmed is important, but entirely voluntary.
Youth also have the right to choose to have their case proceed through the court system, instead of through the CYJP.
